# Strise MCP Server Documentation

## Overview

The Strise MCP Server connects your AI assistant to Strise's compliance intelligence platform. It enables you to search and review companies and individuals, check sanctions and PEP exposure, trace ownership structures, and monitor your portfolio for changes — all through natural language conversation.

**Server URL:** `https://mcp.strise.ai`
**Protocol:** MCP Streamable HTTP
**Authentication:** OAuth 2.0 (PKCE)

## Requirements

- An active [Strise](<https://strise.ai>) subscription
- A Strise user account with access to at least one team

## Getting Started

### Connect via Claude Desktop or any MCP client

1. Add the Strise MCP server using the URL `https://mcp.strise.ai/mcp`
2. You will be redirected to sign in with your Strise account
3. Once authenticated, all tools are available immediately

### Authentication

The server uses OAuth 2.0 with PKCE for secure authentication. When you connect from an MCP client, you will be prompted to log in through Strise's identity provider. Your session stays active until you disconnect.

No API keys or tokens need to be managed manually.

## Available Tools

### Search & Lookup

**Search Entities**
Search for companies, business persons, or private individuals by name. Optionally filter by entity type (company, person, or all). Returns matching entities with basic identification details.

**Search Private Persons**
Search for private individuals by name with optional country filtering. Useful for KYC checks on individuals not found through general entity search.

**Look Up Company by Registration Number**
Find a specific company using its official organization or registration number and country code. Supports all major jurisdictions (Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, UK, and more).

### Company Intelligence

**Get Company Details**
Retrieve a full compliance profile for a company, including:

- Registration details and corporate purpose
- Addresses and locations
- Industry classification
- Sanctions status (sanctioned by, since when, source links)
- Active/inactive status

**Get Company Ownership**
Scan through complex ownership charts to trace beneficial owners, shareholders, and corporate hierarchies. Uncover hidden risks buried in multi-layered structures — such as sanctioned individuals, PEPs, or circular ownership patterns deep in the chain.

**Create Company Review**
Create a compliance review for a monitored company. Use this to document due diligence assessments and maintain an audit trail of your review decisions.

### Person Intelligence

**Get Person Details** (Business Persons)
Retrieve detailed information about a business person, including:

- Identity and biographical data
- Nationality, citizenships, and residences
- PEP (Politically Exposed Person) status and roles
- RCA (Relative or Close Associate) status
- Sanctions matches with source details

**Get Private Person Details**
Same as above, for private individuals. Includes PEP/RCA screening, sanctions checks, and address information.

### Monitoring & Alerts

**Get Alerts**
View the latest monitoring alerts for your team. Alerts notify you about material changes on companies and persons you are tracking — such as new sanctions listings, PEP status changes, or relationship updates. Filter by entity type (company or person).

**Add Company to Monitoring**
Add a company to your team's monitoring portfolio. Once monitored, you will receive alerts when material changes occur — new sanctions, ownership changes, adverse media, and more.

**Add Person to Monitoring**
Add a private individual to your team's monitoring portfolio. Receive alerts on PEP status changes, sanctions matches, and other compliance-relevant updates.

## Rate Limits

The MCP server follows the same usage limits as your Strise subscription. If you encounter rate limiting, wait a moment and retry.
