This document explains how Strise integrates with the Orbis API (Bureau van Dijk) for company search and entity enrichment.
The Orbis integration provides two capabilities:
The integration requires the Orbis delegated access feature to be enabled and an API token to be configured. Contact Strise to set this up. Each team has its own Orbis API credentials stored securely and encrypted in Strise.
To enable the Orbis integration, the customer must obtain an ApiToken from Bureau van Dijk (BvD). Please note that API access is a separate product from the standard Orbis license — customers should verify they have API access included in their subscription.
To request an ApiToken:
Contact your BvD Orbis account representative or reach out to BvD Orbis support.
Request an ApiToken for API access to Orbis.
Once received, share the ApiToken securely with the Strise team to complete the integration setup.
Search takes a company name and an optional country, and returns matching companies from the Orbis global database. Only results with a match score of 80% or above are returned, to ensure relevant matches.
Each result includes a confidence level and a numeric score:
| Confidence | Meaning |
|---|---|
HIGH |
Orbis is confident this is the right company |
MEDIUM |
Possible match, not certain |
LOW |
Unlikely match |
When any result has HIGH confidence, only HIGH results are shown. Otherwise, LOW results are filtered out and only MEDIUM results are returned.
