Strise collects, analyses and matches on sanctions data internally. See Matching on PEPs and Sanctions for more detail on the process. Strise screens towards the EU, OFAC, OFAC SDN and UK sanction lists.

Sanction icon and banner 🛑

Sanctioned companies or people are marked by a red warning icon and a banner with some details about the potential sanction hit. Clicking “See details” will take you down to the sanction section in the side panel!

Sanctions in the side panel

Sanction status has its own section in a company or person’s side panel. A positive sanction result includes the name of the sanctioning body as well as a reference.

All positive sanction results also include the full metadata that resulted in the hit. You can use this to make more informed decisions on whether the result is a false positive or not.

Keep in mind that this check only screens the chosen company or person, and does not consider any connections beyond. For this, we can screen for sanctions in Review instead.

Sanctions in Review

Both the company itself and its connected roles and owners are screened for sanctions when performing a ‣

The company’s sanction status is displayed under “company information”, while roles and owners are displayed under “Management and Rights holders”.

Similarly to sanction results in the side panel, all positive sanction results include the name of the sanctioning body and the full metadata that resulted in the hit.
